Askar is a refugee camp near the Palestinian city of Nablus. The refugee camp (established in 1950) is a densely populated town that lacks proper planning, facilities and streetnames.
A non-profit organization is selling street names in Askar to raise funds for a youth center. Individuals from around the world are paying 100 Euros to have street signs with the names of their choice posted.
With your support the Palestinian Child Care Society (PCCS) will complete and renovate the crumbling youth center, which is indispensable for the local youth. The center, with its facilities for after school reception and activities, will make the lives of the children in Askar more bearable.
