A nice Newsweek review of 'Budrus' suggests it is a film worth seeing. Budrus, the West Bank village, saw one of the successes of Palestinian organizing. A wide-reaching coalition was able to alter the route of Israel's apartheid wall. This documentary tell that story.
According to the YouTube page, this documentary centers on:
'Budrus' was a project of Just Vision, a media and educational organization that works to "bring attention to Israeli and Palestinian nonviolence and peacebuilding efforts."A Palestinian family man [who] unites rival parties Fatah and Hamas, Western activists, and even groups of progressive Israelis in a nonviolent movement to save his village from being destroyed.
It was directed by award-winning filmmaker Julia Bacha (co-writer and editor of Control Room and co-director Encounter Point), and produced by Bacha, Palestinian journalist Rula Salameh, and filmmaker and human rights advocate Ronit Avni (formerly of WITNESS, Director of Encounter Point). After racking up loads of film awards, it opens in theaters in New York and Los Angeles in October.
